Letters of Recognition

Name recognition can be everything in politics. Take Donald Trump—no please. Take him. Anywhere but here. Democrats need to reclaim congress in 2018 for us to have any hope of regaining some semblance of the progress we've made as a country over the last decade. We'll try to highlight swing district challengers and other important 2018 contenders, along with infinitely shareable artwork of their names, in hopes of making them familiar to as much of the voting public as possible, come election time.

Beto O'Rourke — for U.S. Senator, Texas

Beto O'Rourke (D) is currently a member of the U.S. House representing Texas' 16th Congressional District, and is running in 2018 to unseat Ted Cruz in the U.S Senate.

Many of the posts on this site will more often be candidates running to take over spots in the House, as it is much more within reach for democrats this mid-term election, but tough as it may be, there are few causes that feel more worthy than getting Ted Cruz out of Congress.

Beto is from El Paso, TX, and believes healthcare is a right, not a privilege. He's also fighting hard to keep big money out of our democracy, and end political gerrymandering.

"Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around."
